But in Trichendur the temple is stands near with the coastal area within 65 meters .The temple Rajagopuram is 133 meter height and it is far away 140 meter from the sea and the temple karuvari is situated in the lowest feet from the land 15 feet and the 10 feet from the sea shore. The temple prominent is mentioned in Tholkappiyam, Purananooru, Agananooru, Thirumurugaddu padai, Silapathikaram and it is build before 3000 years ago. The temple has still existed after Tsunami waves and it shows the Tamizhan scientific knowledge, art of building and the faith in Murugan god.
